Social Networking…Live And In Person

As we strive to make sure you squeeze the maximum value out of your twenty-five bucks, we have two exciting final announcements to make.SteamWhistle

First, together with the breakfast, hot and cold beverages, lunch and six incredible knowledge-sharing sessions, there will now be “Beer for Barcampers”, courtesy of your organizers and the generosity of Steam Whistle Brewery.

Steam Whistle wants all of the attendees to relax with a pint of beer in hand at the end of the day, from 4:30 pm-6:00 pm. You will get a drink ticket when you register.

Careful though – you just may keep on learning as we go back to the original form of social networking–live and in person.

However, let’s just make sure to plan accordingly. Carpools, taxis, shuttles to TTC and limos are all great ways to get home. Drinking and driving is not.

apple-ipad-2-mainSecond, Richard Silver’s www.Torontoism.com is donating a 32gig, 3G, iPad2 to the cause.  Raffle tickets will be sold for $5.00 with all proceeds going towards TREB’s Children’s Breakfast Program.

We are really looking forward to seeing everyone for a fully-packed day on Tuesday…it feels like we are planning a royal wedding, or something…

Doug is going to share affordable, flexible and easy to implement solutions even for the most frazzled, technologically challenged broker as well as for those who would never think of going to the bathroom in the middle of the night without checking their e-mail.

Doug lives in St. Louis, Missouri, Starwood Hotels, and has killed his four plants from being away 200+ days a year. His goals are to cook more often, stop the plant abuse, travel the world learning while he teaches while making his Mom proud.

Doug is the first speaker on this video from REBarCamp San Francisco in 2009, the 1st Anniversary of REBarCamp. Check it out if you do not know what to expect from a BarCamp…
