READY, SET, GO, REBarCampTO!!!

227337_213305892022081_149683001717704_843417_2423076_nThis is getting ready to be the best REBarCampTO yet!!

The schedule is up on the site and completely empty at the moment….

If there are topics that you would like to have discussed or if you would like to facilitate a discussion, please connect Evan Sage at esage@sagerealestate.ca.

It is our plan to have some of the first sessions set up so that we can get right into discussions early but most of the day will be decided when you get there. Please make sure that you present Evan with your request in writing…

We will have one room dedicated to “Skyping” some valued friends from around the world. Michael Krisa will host that room in the morning and Richard Silver, in the afternoon. We will have some great guests!

Please Print and Bring With to REBarCampTO2013!!

229202_213305728688764_149683001717704_843409_1849520_nA Message from REBarCampTO:

Here are some important things you should know about REBarCampTO 2013:

First, there is a lot of Parking…and it is free thanks to Better Homes and Gardens Canada.

Should you decide to come by Subway, you can go to the Broadview Station on the Bloor line and there is a Shuttle Bus to take you to the Evergreen Brick Works. The schedule is at Evergreen Brick Works web site…

When you arrive at the Brick Works you will head to the Young Welcome Centre for registration (make sure you bring your ticket/tickets with you and are linked below), just follow the sandwich boards for REBarCampTO.

There will be a continental breakfast supplied by our caterer Daniel et Daniel and coffee, water, etc. available all day. There will also be a bag lunch provided during the noon-time break and we encourage you to take a look at the facilities and the Parks that surround the Brick Works.

Hopefully, it will be a sunny warm day but even if not, there are lots of canopied spaces that can be enjoyed. There are seven great spaces for discussions. Always be thankful and courteous to our Volunteers…they are your colleagues and attendees as well.

Registration and Breakfast/Networking begin at 8:30 am in the Young Welcome Centre (feel free to be earlier). There at 9:15 am, we will welcome you all and give you the last minute news. The sessions will start at 9:30 and be 45 minutes long with a 15 minute break for refreshing and changing rooms. We will break at Lunch with Bag lunches available in the Young Welcome Centre. This year there is also a sit down Restaurant onsite since last year, however that is not included in your $30.00 ticket…

There is a schedule up on the website that will be added to and changed during the day. You can access it from any mobile device on its’ browser. We will try to keep it up-to-date but technology is known for it’s glitches so keep refreshing the screens . Brings tons of business cards and set your sites on meeting and talking to at least 10-15 new people.

For those facilitating or wanting to: please email Evan Sage at esage@sagerealestate.ca. He is our schedule Meister. For all: please remember that this is not a selling event and if you are feeling that someone is selling you a product rather than sharing knowledge and facilitating discussion, you have every right to walk out…

You are there to SHARE, PARTICIPATE and LEARN so please avoid being a session “Kamakaze” and take over the discussions. More experienced attendees should remember that they were once Newbies. Leaders, please make sure that common phrases that you may use should be able to be understood by all…

There is Wi-Fi available throughout and the wifi is Evergreen Guest and the password will be posted. The Twitter Hastag for the event is #rebcto.

Carbon Computing will be on site again with a “Genius Bar” including some of their staff, so should you have hands-on questions about your Apple products please see them.

There will be a great Charity draw. David Pylp has agreed to be our Carnie-extraordinaire for the draw. The funds will go to the Ontario REALTORS Care Foundation.

For obvious reasons there will be a lot of focus this year on iPads and iPhones, as well as multiple browsers. Please feel free to bring your tools…

We have some out-of-town special guests: Sherry Chris, Jimmy Mackin, Nobu Hata, Debra Trappen and Michael Krisa. Their 411 is on the website if you want to read it and get to know them a bit…

Remember that an REBarCampTO also depends on the energy that you, the attendee adds to it!

Our Sponsors make this event possible. At every chance you have, if you see a Sponsor, thank them profusely please…Please visit the web site so you know who they are!

We look forward to seeing you this coming Monday, April 8th, 2013 at the Evergreen Brick Works.
